This music magazine, the first dedicated only to plectrum instruments, went to press from 1892 to 1937. Another important periodical was \"\u003ci\u003eIl Plettro periodico musicale\u003c\/i\u003e,\" published in Milan by Alessandro Vizzari (1873-1945) and active from 1907 to 1942.\u003cbr\u003eThe collection encompasses concert music and dance pieces in the Italian style of the prewar period. It goes back to the so-called \"Golden Age\" of the mandolin, around the turn of the 20th century.
