I stripped each poem of its poetry, and left it bare, defenseless, without justification, struggling to be itself without dress. I tried to make a work in which the reader cannot tell if something is hidden there, or if something is missing there, or both. Is the absence haunted or haunting or both? A work where every poem is loss. Abstraction abstracted.
