In this context, the study of the epidemiology of resistant bacteria within the gut microbiota is of major interest, as it provides a better understanding of the latter's central role in the growing problem of antibiotic resistance, and guides the development of urgent strategies aimed at limiting its emergence and spread. The present study is part of this approach, focusing on the antibiotic resistance of Gram-negative bacteria present in the intestinal flora of the Tunisian population.
