Modern philosophy then only built upon this basis, while modern science has ultimately relied on \u003ci\u003emathematics\u003c\/i\u003e, established as an exclusive reality in contradiction to the world, yet fully explaining it. It does, in fact, because it's \u003ci\u003ecomplementary\u003c\/i\u003e itself. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eModern knowledge thus just \u003ci\u003eassumes\u003c\/i\u003e complementarity and contradiction without further ado. But \u003ci\u003ewhy\u003c\/i\u003e is the world \u003ci\u003ecomplementary\u003c\/i\u003e? And \u003ci\u003ewhy\u003c\/i\u003e does \u003ci\u003econtradiction\u003c\/i\u003e take place in it? Contradiction means precisely the \u003ci\u003eseparation\u003c\/i\u003e from the \"unity of opposites\" of complementarity, which is actually necessary for \u003ci\u003eknowledge\u003c\/i\u003e. And as knowledge is complementary itself then the ultimate \u003ci\u003esense\u003c\/i\u003e of contradiction is \u003ci\u003eto resolve into complementarity again\u003c\/i\u003e. Or as simply stated by Friedrich Nietzsche: \"Nature needs knowledge\"; that is, it \u003ci\u003eneeds contradiction\u003c\/i\u003e in order to \"know itself\". Indeed, it can be proved that complementarity in the world \u003ci\u003einevitably\u003c\/i\u003e leads to contradiction, whence the world can ultimately be determined itself \u003ci\u003ecompletely\u003c\/i\u003e, or \u003ci\u003euniversally\u003c\/i\u003e, from \u003ci\u003ecomplementarity\u003c\/i\u003e. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eNietzsche's \"artistic philosophy\" developed precisely the \u003ci\u003econsciousness\u003c\/i\u003e of contradiction as the \"bridge\" towards the \"knowledge of nature of itself\". \u003ci\u003eMan\u003c\/i\u003e is such a \"bridge\". But the task of resolving it still lies ahead, still is the \"philosophy of the future\". What is at stake therefore is rediscovering \u003ci\u003econtradiction\u003c\/i\u003e on the basis of \u003ci\u003ecomplementarity\u003c\/i\u003e, and then \u003ci\u003eto complete\u003c\/i\u003e the full course of nature, i.e. \u003ci\u003efrom complementarity to contradiction to complementarity\u003c\/i\u003e.
