Findings of high Serum IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β in preeclamptic women (both in maternal and cord blood) suggest a definite role of inflammatory response in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia and therefore, may be useful in diagnosing patients with preeclampsia and identifying future cardiovascular risk.
