Genes for insect specific enzymes that metabolize JH can be expressed to develop recombinant baculovirus, which can disrupt physiology and inturn becomes detrimental to the pest itself. Further, the role of JHbinding protein, Ecdysone receptor proteins are also explored for biocontrol strategies.
