Das strikt anaerobe Bakterium Ilyobacter psychrophilus sp. nov. und das aerobe Bakterium Shewanella arctica sp. nov. Aus Shewanella arctica sp. nov. wurden zwei industriell relevante Gene isoliert, kloniert und rekombinant exprimiert und die rekombinanten Enzyme gereinigt und charakterisiert.
