Of these papers, just over half had an\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eauthor from the United States or Canada, while European authors were represented\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ein about 40% of the papers. We also accepted papers with authors from Central\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand South America, China, Japan, Australia, and the Middle East, giving us a truly\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003einternational avour of current Computer Science Education research and practice.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn addition to the Paper, Poster and Panel submissions, and Tips, Techniques\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand Courseware presentations, we have ten Working Groups investigating these\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003etopics: the pacing of introductory CS courses; fostering program comprehension for\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003enovice programmers; exploring pass rates in computing and other STEM subjects;\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003esustainability issues in CS; diversity in the cybersecurity eld; data science education;\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ebenchmarking K-12 CS education in schools; developing a model curriculum\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003efor cloud computing; and designing better compiler error messages.
