I invested more time and money than ever in this six-day, coast to coast poetry festival that I first gave America in 2021, to celebrate my 50th birthday. This year, a fake NY Times reporter ran off with my money, and I had to cancel in April the Poetry Cab as I couldn't register my old NYC yellow cab that I just turned into a Poetry Cab at DMV. And then, while I was driving with a rental car from New York to Los Angeles to promote our festival during National Poetry Month, I had to drive back from Fort Madison, Iowa, after my best friend in New York had a stroke. It was life or poetry.
