Data were collected through individual interviews and a focus group. The sample consisted of twenty male and female faculty at senior-management level in Nigerian public universities drawn from the four geographic regions of Nigeria, namely, North Central, South East, South South, and South West. Results revealed the existence of pronounced gender inequality and evidence of several factor constraints that contribute to the disproportionate representation of female and male faculty at the senior-management level in public Nigerian universities.
