In the present study, we investigated the osteogenic and adipogenic potential of BMSCs and AMSCs, as well as the effect of intercommunication between osteoblasts and adipocytes on cell phenotype expression. We found that BMSCs are more osteogenic, while AMSCs are more adipogenic. Additionally, it was observed that intercommunication between osteoblasts and adipocytes can negatively affect bone repair.
