The results; more effectively run shelters with less violence, resources are freed up and staff working conditions are improved. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eThis workbook is designed as two books in one and has been used to help hundreds of people who were chronically homeless overcome homelessness and maintain self sustaining, independent lives. Book one can be utilized by case managers in a group setting or one on one. It covers topics such as, developing an Individualized Program Plan, Goals and objectives, and Identifying stumbling blocks. It also helps case management gather case history such as family, education and past trauma information. Once book one has been completed it can be used to map out a plan of action for each participant. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eBook two provides ten life skill classes. The classes can be facilitated by a case manager, another staff member or volunteer. They should be scheduled to take place within the same eight weeks as book one. Each class includes participant homework, and class exercises.
