VB1 was written to inform Congress that the FBI was incapable of preventing any Middle Eastern terrorist attacks. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eOn August 10, 1999, Wright hired Chicago Attorney Dave Schippers. Wright knew the FBI had fired or forced out all past FBI Whistleblowers. Therefore, Wright knew the FBI would retaliate and try to fire him in the future because of the contents of VB1. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eIn mid-July 2001, after reading VB1, Mr. Schippers realized he needed the assistant of another law firm to help protect Wright from the FBI. Miller wanted to publish news articles. The FBI called and invited Miller to FBI headquarters. Miller interviewed four FBI Supervisors about Wright. During the meeting, the FBI lied to Miller, which caused her not to publish her articles. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eOn May 10, 2002, the FBI revoked the approval of Wright's VB1 book.
