Well, they didn't hear back and decided to call to find out the status of the negotiations so that they could begin to prepare. In their mind, the money was divided up: all they needed was the deposit. They didn't hear back from the talent buyer that day. About a week later, they received communication from the talent buyer stating that the other group that charged more had been chosen because their price was in line with the higher quality they were looking for. They didn't want to risk paying lower and getting lower quality. Their thinking is you get what you pay for. The point? Going cheaper isn't always better and social media likes don't a always tell the true tale of the tape. You need the essentials in situations like this. I provide these essentials in my book.
