He practiced the natural healing arts often learned from original peoples on the land. He was a recorded minister who in an ecumenical spirit became a travelling evangelist to every Quaker Meeting in North America (except for three remote meetings in Appalachia). \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eHe was passionate for the abolition of slavery and for the justice towards tribal First Peoples. He held strong views on stewardship.
