Ammons's \u003ci\u003eGarbage, \u003c\/i\u003e Lyn Hejinian's \u003ci\u003eMy Life, \u003c\/i\u003e Susan Howe's \u003ci\u003eThe Midnight, \u003c\/i\u003e and Kenneth Goldsmith's \u003ci\u003eSeven American Deaths and Disasters, \u003c\/i\u003e the book presents applications of \u003ci\u003eunnatural ecopoetics \u003c\/i\u003ein poetic environments, ones that do not engage with traditional ideas of nature and would otherwise remain outside the scope of ecocritical and ecopoetic studies. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e Nolan proposes a new practical approach for reading poetic language.
