C. Walcott that explores the life and legacy of William of Wykcham, a prominent figure in medieval England. The book focuses on Wykcham's founding of two colleges, New College in Oxford and Winchester College in Winchester, and the impact these institutions had on education and society during the 14th century. Walcott delves into Wykcham's background, his rise to power, and his motivations for establishing these colleges. The book also provides a detailed history of the colleges themselves, including their architecture, curriculum, and traditions.
