1,479: May 13, 1977-May 31, 1981 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798370713309)

In 1981, K.G. Palmer published his unflinching look at four years of his college life. To his surprise, the book became a nationwide success that was embraced by and influenced an entire generation that compared it to literary classics like CATCHER IN THE RYE and ON THE ROAD. Overnight, Keith was a media star and a literary sensation. After a failed off-Broadway play, the young author faded out of the public eye. Many years later, a new generation sought out 1,479, long out of print.
Now, over 40 years after it was first published, 1,479 is back in print in a new, expanded edition. Included for the first time is 2,940: his novella length sequel to the original book, along with a new introduction and closing chapter.
If you have read 1,479 before, you have never read it like this. If this is your first time, see what life in the late 1970s and early 1980s was like for one college student with dreams of a life beyond his education.
