The discovery of an ancient tablet by renowned archeologist Arthur Howe ignites a vast world wide conspiracy. With the tablet, Government officials have the keys to unlocking the mysteries of the Mayan Long Calendar. The secret code details the final extinction of the planet earth, and exactly how the apocalypse will occur. Armed with this intelligence, a cabal of military and government officials plot the overthrow of the President and his reviled administration. As the story opens, convicted murderer James Cord escapes from the Ohio State Prison for the criminally insane. Inside the walls of the prison, Cord has been converted to a radical Islamic faith, once outside, Cord is determined to fulfill his unholy destiny, and eliminate the last remaining member of the 'Mustang Posse', attorney Rich Stewart. In a strange twist of fate, Rich Stewart has been summoned to the residence of Pulitzer Prize winner Arthur Howe, to help retrieve the ancient tablet from the federal government. As Stewart becomes entwined in the clandestine world of high level world politics, the awful truth revealed by the tablet is inescapable. The sixth extinction of planet Earth, predicted in the Mayan Long Calendar on December 21, 2012 is confirmed, and the scramble for survival of the human race is on.
