8 Billion Clients (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781763666771)

From a small town in India to the bustling streets of Melbourne, Goutam Basak's life is a remarkable tale of transformation. His story, now chronicled in his new book, reveals a journey shaped by resilience, creativity, and a deep sense of purpose. Goutam's path has been far from linear; instead, it's a dynamic blend of entrepreneurship, cultural exploration, and spiritual discovery that spans multiple continents and industries.

As the founder of Infonity, a Melbourne-based consultancy, Goutam has made a name for himself by tackling some of the most pressing issues facing corporations today. His work focuses on diversity, mental health, human resources, and ethical practices, areas where his personal experiences as a migrant, a community leader, and a wellness advocate shine through. In this book, readers will witness how Goutam built his career, often in the face of adversity, and successfully navigated seven different industries, including technology, education, and healthcare.

Goutam's contributions extend far beyond the boardroom. His passion for mental health advocacy has led to the creation of several e-learning courses and books on the subject, earning him a loyal following of over 10,000 students. His popular course, *Let's Share the Burden*, even caught the attention of the European Commission Joint Research Centre. His literary works, including *Jailbreak* and *Think Like a Migrant, Act Like a Local*, offer readers a unique perspective on the intersections of culture and mental health, filled with humor and poignant insights into human behavior.

But Goutam's impact doesn't stop at writing. His inventive spirit is evident in the board games he has designed, reflecting his belief that learning and growth can be fun and engaging. His ventures, such as the wellness brand Welltea, further demonstrate his commitment to mental well-being and holistic living. In recent years, he has launched *Mentorly* and *Mentorly-Plus*, initiatives designed to support new immigrants and help organizations foster environments that promote mental health and professional growth. These efforts are a testament to Goutam's dedication to helping others navigate their own personal and professional journeys.

Yet, Goutam's journey has not been without its challenges. There was a time, more than a decade ago, when he felt lost, overwhelmed by the pressures of immigration, financial instability, and declining mental health. Faced with these hardships, Goutam turned to spirituality, embracing the idea that sometimes surrendering to the universe is the best way to regain balance. This spiritual awakening marked a turning point in his life, leading him to rediscover his passion for entrepreneurship with renewed energy and purpose.

Now, as Goutam reflects on his journey, he understands that the true essence of life lies not in reaching a destination but in the experiences and growth that come along the way. In this book, he invites readers to join him in exploring the beauty of life's unpredictable path, with the hope that they too can find fulfillment and joy in their own journeys.
