She has been a Smithsonian Fellow and a Library of Congress Ambassor. DuPree was the first African American woman president of the Society for Pentecostal Studies and Associate Editor of PNEUMA Journal. She recently spoke at the Annual Church of God in Christ Convocation to the COGIC Scholars and Board of Education divisions. DuPree is the director of the United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organization - Transatlantic Slave Trade (UNESCO-TST) Florida Center.
