Jane Graiko was an Air Force brat, a kindergarten teacher, a newspaper reporter with the Syracuse Post-Standard, and a program administrator at the University of Vermont. She culminated a 24-year career at UVM working with bright, talented students in the federally-funded McNair Scholars Program. Jane is a wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong reader and writer. In addition to years of published news articles, photos and educational materials, she is the 2010 recipient of the Ralph Nading Hill literary prize co-sponsored by Green Mountain Power Corporation and Vermont Life magazine.
