A Dark Cloud over Prom (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798277382455)

In the quiet town of Holmen, high school life unfolds against a backdrop of unspoken struggles and hidden sorrows. Kelly, a 15-year-old outcast, battles the challenges of her home life, marked by neglect and bullying. With a crush on her cousin Ricky, who is one of the few who treats her kindly, Kelly longs for acceptance and love. Desperate to escape her reality, she finds herself in a fleeting relationship that results in an unplanned pregnancy, leaving her feeling more isolated than ever.

Tragedy strikes when Kelly, overwhelmed by despair, takes her own life in the school gymnasium, leaving her classmates to grapple with the consequences of their indifference. As the community reels from the shock, Jessica, Ricky, and their friends confront their complicity in Kelly's pain. They must navigate the haunting aftermath, as guilt and grief intertwine with their lives, forcing them to reevaluate the meaning of compassion and connection before prom night.
