Keyia Banner was born September 14th 1971 in West Philadelphia. She attended Walnut Elementary school. In 1990 Keyia graduated from Penn Wood High School, where she developed a passion for writing. In 2003 started Nursing School as a medical assistant. Raising 4 children on her own was a challenge, but she did it the best she could. Keyia moved around a lot to make a better life for them.
