A Biography of Kate Loveday. Kate grew up in a seaside suburb in Adelaide, South Australia. Her love of books began in childhood and she started reading novels at an early age. Always wanting to write, Kate wrote short stories in my twenties but never submitted them for publication. Then raising a family and helping to run a family business cut short such aspirations. The idea for her first novel, 'Inheritance', came because of an area that we spent much time in and came to love - Far North Queensland. And so, her writing career began from a need for therapy after a great loss. It's an ongoing career that brings me much pleasure, and along the way Kate gained the peace of mind she was seeking. Now, when not writing, Kate enjoys reading, listening to music, good food and wine, and 'hanging out' with family and friends.
