A LIFE MADE FOR GOD'S MISSION - Thirty-Five Years of Service in the Anglican Church (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798330428854)

A Life Made for God's Mission details the dramatic events, diverse experiences and seemingly insurmountable challenges of Bishop Adedokun Adesoji Adewunmi, an immigrant ordained in Nigeria who has spent most of his ministry life in North America.Bishop Adewunmi typifies many Africans, especially Nigerians, working to ignite the flame of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a post Christian Western world. The book touches not only on Bishop Adewunmi's life history, but also on history of the Anglican Church, his education, administration and God's miraculous providence on many occasions. The book is a major contribution to the extant body of literature on the history and contemporary growth of Anglicanism. It promotes understanding of the dynamics of leadership and organization within the Anglican Church; a must read for every Christian seeking God's direction in their life's pilgrimage. The book unveils the inner workings of the administration, organisation, and management of the Anglican Diocese of the Trinity, Church of Nigeria, North America, where Bishop Adewunmi spent most of his active service years in various capacities in the Lord's Vineyard.I salute the author for his courage and candour, and I am persuaded that this book will spark new research in church history, African migration, and biblical hermeneutics. It will broaden frontiers of knowledge about Anglicanism, ministry, stewardship in God's Vineyard, clergy, and laity. Therefore, I strongly commend the author and recommend this book to all students and scholars of religion, members of the body of Christ, and the general reading public.-- -Jacob K.
