When Ed passed through Adelaide he stayed at Nan and Pop's house and Riley was fascinated with the he heard and asked Pop if they could have their own adventure. Let's ride from Adelaide to Melbourne. The Dream was born.

A year passed and a now 7-year-old Riley asked if they could get started, so a road bike was purchased, and training begun. Everyone was amazed that a young boy had the stamina to ride 100kms and more in a day.
