Research is one of Neely's favorite occupations, and writing another-especially writing about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. As in her first historical novel, Behind Every Hero, the author has tried to introduce the reader to a forgotten character of small-town history. C. L. Neely lives in Eastern Oregon with her husband and also enjoys quilting, photography and rock-hounding when not at her computer writing.
