Connell J. Brown has been associated with the cattle industry in Arkansas for over 75 years. He is the recipient of a Distinguished Service Award from the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association and the Southern Association of Animal Science and has published over four hundred scientific and popular articles on genetics and breeding. A 1994 inductee into the Arkansas Agricultural Hall of Fame, he is University Professor Emeritus from the University of Arkansas Department of Animal Science. Dr. Brown's recent books include Cattle Upon a Thousand Hills, In the Shadow of Boat Mountain, Hard Times in God's Country, Tragedy on the Buffalo, and Some Thoughts for Millennials. He lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
