A Presence Behind the Lens: Photography and Reflections (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781890772512)

The exquisite photography of Nicholas Hlobeczy is augmented by ten insightful essays about the nature of art and creativity. Stressing the need for self-awareness, attunement to the movement and other means of encouraging transcendence of creativity. Hlobeczy writes about the everyday struggles of the artist. 'A Presence Behind the Lens' is about seeing, about light, and a psychological perspective of self-knowledge. In the spirit of Rainer Maria Rilke's classic, 'Letters to a Young Poet', Hlobeczy shares his refined wisdom about the tangent point between art and the inner life.
