ABOUT THE AUTHOR Gloria O. Wright was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Weber State College magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Family Relations with minors in Anthropology, Social Work, and Gerontology. She was given an Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in Gerontology. She earned her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). She has been a teacher in the Primary, Sunday School, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations. She has served as Primary President and Counselor, Ward Relief Society President and Counselor, and Stake Relief Society Counselor. She has also served as a Stake Social Services Specialist, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, and full-time Missionary with her husband in the Samoa-Apia Mission. After raising her children, she worked as an Alternatives Counselor for the Davis County Council on Aging, Project Director with the Davis County Parent Education Resource Center, and as a Counselor with troubled youth in the Davis County School District. She has also taught with the LDS Church Education System at BYU Education Weeks. She has been a speaker at regional and national conferences. She started her own business, "Adventures in Living." She traveled with her husband throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Israel, Egypt, and Samoa. She has lived in Utah, California, Mississippi, Germany and Samoa. She presently resides in Mesa, Arizona where she is retired but continues to write. She is presently the author of ten books.
