They were raised in Hawaii, with all but one graduating from the same small high school in the quaint village of Kahuku, on the island of Oahu. His family is a true cosmopolitan mix of races, cultures, languages, careers, and history, giving John a wealth of experience to draw on and an imagination to match. He initially began his writing career with McGraw-Hill Publishing in the field of Mathematics, but his love of family and the joy and laughter they shared grew very strong over the years.
