A Sorcerer's Guide to Becoming-Other: Dialogues Between Carlos Castaneda and Gilles Deleuze: A New Perspective on Shamanism and Philosophy (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798252567853)

Is it possible to escape capitalist semiotics through sorcery?

This book is not a mere academic investigation; it is a philosophical experimentation on the frontiers of the real. Rubén Leonardo Domanico explores the explosive collision between the ontology of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari and the shamanic cosmology of Carlos Castaneda.

In the pages of A Thousand Plateaus, Castaneda ceases to be a questioned anthropologist and becomes an operator of speed. Through a rigorous and vibrant analysis, the author breaks down the six fundamental references to the Yaqui sorcerer don Juan Matus to extract a true arsenal of resistance:

• The Rhizome and the Ally: Why is the plant of power the ultimate ally against the roots of identity and the State?

• The Event and Speed: How to "stop the world" and shatter the productive temporality of capitalism?

• The Body without Organs: Techniques for dismantling the "Self" to reach a pure plane of consistency.

• The Micropolitics of the Sorcerer: Stalking and dreaming as tools for survival in societies of control.

For Deleuze and Guattari, sorcery is not a superstition, but a pragmatics of deterritorialization. This book invites the reader to abandon the sedimentations of the Western subject to discover a line of flight toward a life that finally dares to experience its own Outside.

An essential essay for philosophers, seekers, and all those attempting to find within shamanism a new politics of existence.
