A Testimony Against That Anti-Christian Practice Of Making Slaves Of Men is a book written by Elihu Coleman in 1825. The book is a passionate argument against the practice of slavery, which Coleman believed to be morally wrong and incompatible with Christian values. In the book, Coleman draws on his own experiences as a slave owner and his religious beliefs to make his case against the institution of slavery. He argues that slavery is a violation of the dignity and worth of human beings, and that it is contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. He also criticizes the economic and social justifications often used to defend slavery, and calls on his fellow Christians to take a stand against the practice. The book is a powerful and eloquent condemnation of slavery, and remains an important historical document in the fight for human rights and social justice.Wherein It Is Showed To Be Contrary To The Dispensation Of The Law And Time Of The Gospel, And Very Opposite Both To Grace And Nature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
