The year is 1957. Cuba is on the verge of political upheaval. Maggie Martinez-a privileged seventeen-year-old-blissfully sips daiquiris at the local country club, unaware of the revolution happening around her.
There is one thing she is aware of-a handsome Brazilian bartender named Roberto, whose sea-green eyes and dazzling smile make Maggie melt faster than the ice in her daiquiri. From the moment they see each other, the world feels like a different place.
Playful flirtation quickly becomes a steamy romance hotter than the Havana sun. Still, it's not all kissing and dancing for Maggie and Roberto; exterior forces threaten to tear them apart, including Maggie's disapproving mother and, of course, the revolution. Matters become more complicated when Roberto joins the revolution, further straining the relationship. Their love, like Cuba, is in a state of emergency.
A Time for Love and Revolution pulses with the passion of young love and revolutionary fervor. Will oppression and injustice deter Maggie and Roberto, or can their love endure the fury of revolution?
