John is a writer and teacher living in Cantabria in the north of Spain. He is the author of a novel, novella, this collection of poems and a set of short stories in Spanish aimed at intermediate level Spanish language learners. Together with his wife Kate he has produced two walking guides to Cantabria which are available in English and Spanish, and they are preparing a third book of walks in Cantabria. They provide walking activities and English tuition via their company Cantabria Calling as well as tourist information and Spanish learning resources on their blogs. John is currently completing a second volume of Spanish short stories and producing an English-language version for use as a learning resource. He and Kate are also preparing a third walking guide to Cantabria.
