Arthur Asa Berger is professor emeritus of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts at San Francisco State University. He has published seventy books and more than one hundred articles on media, popular culture, material culture, humor and tourism. Twelve of his books have been translated into Chinese and his books have also been translated into Arabic, German, Italian, Indonesian, Korean and Turkish. In the course of his career, Berger has lectured in several dozen universities in various countries: Denmark, Sweden, Finland, England, France, Germany, Tunisia, China, Japan, Morocco, Italy and Brazil. He had a Fulbright to Italy in 1963 and was a Fulbright Senior Specialist in Argentina in 2012. Berger is also an artist and has illustrated THE UK and many of his other books.
