Barbara Lewis is a journalist whose career has taken her to London, Hong Kong, Paris, Brussels ... and Cognac. She read English at Jesus College, Oxford, before setting out as a trainee reporter on the Bromsgrove Messenger, where she covered anything from golden weddings to murder to the arts. A passion to explore the world beyond Britain led her to leave local journalism for international news agencies, currently Reuters. Another passion is theatre and she wrote a sell-out play for the Edinburgh Festival. This is her first novel.
