The question, "How are babies made?" is a natural one. It stars occupying children as soon as they start forming their own understanding and realize that living beings reproduce.
At first, their curiosity is focused on the animal world. But very soon, they will ask the ultimate question - one that belongs to the adult world.
If we do not provide clear and honest answers, we may unintentionally pass on a message many of us once received at home: that we do not talk about sex; that sex is inappropriate, embarrassing, perhaps even shameful; that Mom and Dad are not the right people to ask. And if parents are not approachable, children may have no one to turn to should something, heaven forbid, ever happen.
In this book, I have sought to pave a clear path and offer - based on my many years of professional experience - words, language, and concepts that are developmentally appropriate and aligned with children's cognitive and verbal abilities. These provide a reliable and solid foundation for understanding this essential subject.
