He jumps into a lake, putting to test his swimming skills, facing the danger of starving and loss of energy - he recognizes that the comfort of his home is a blessing. Fast forward, he is fed with an egg by the ducks and regains his power to take another swim down the lake. As the sunrises, Makie decides to take another chance at finding a home; with more energy, he swims faster, and in a few hours, he can finally smell the familiar scent and scenery of home.

End - Makie is welcomed home by a relieved Mika and friends. He gives a woof of happiness and is woken from an adventurous dream.
