Saikat Guha studied Philosophy, Physics, and Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Boise State University, the University of Washington at Seattle, and finally at Syracuse University, where he specialized in logic and ontology. After a long illness, Saikat died in 2008.
