Ron started his career as a geologist and then became an educator. He is especially interested now in what it takes to produce the transformation of cultures and in particular the culture of aging. As the creator and leader of Transforming the Myth of Aging seminars, Ron's primary career focus has been the exploration, study and practice of educational disciplines that concentrate on the nature of breakthroughs in productivity, communication, and leadership. Over the past thirty five years, Ron engaged in facilitating the transformation of CEOs, sports and movie stars, foreign dignitaries, prisoners, gang members and individuals from virtually all cultures and walks of life. He has directed programs for Youth at Risk Institute, Business Productivity, the Psychology of Human Potential, Advanced Leadership, and the Acceleration of Human Learning. In 1992, he worked with the Soviet Educational Society in Moscow, training leaders to produce results in the face of their extreme social reorganization. He has personally trained more than 250,000 people throughout the world. Twenty years ago, Ron was diagnosed with an aggressive, terminal cancer. Using the principles he teaches in these programs, he was able to avoid surgery and traditional treatment, rid his body of the ailment and elevate himself to new levels of health, fitness and vitality. For example, at 64 years of age, with no prior experience other than his passion for taking on impossible projects, Ron ran and won first-place in his division of the 100-mile Wasatch Endurance Race over the mountains of Utah. He has subsequently completed numerous long-distance endurance runs, including the Grand Canyon, Machu Pichu in Peru, and the Annapurna Range in the Himalayan Mountains. In 2004, Ron took up power lifting and by 2006, at 72 years of age, had won the U.S. National Championship in his weight and age division. Ron has now broken three U.S. National Men's Records and recently won first place in his division of the 2010 World Championship Competition in Power Lifting. At the age of 77, Ron produced the legacy of his extraordinary life's experience-Transforming the Myth of Aging seminars. That same year, he also completed the Badwater 135 mile desert endurance race solo, from the lowest point in the US to the highest point in the continental US. Now in his 80s, Ron is writing and speaking on the subject of living a life of power at any age under any circumstance.
