The story got more elaborate over time and the team decided to write it down. The whole idea was to create a story that dads and their sons would want to read. Since then, we have discovered that girls like dinosaur stories just as much. Younger Nick's cousin Annie is the original pterodactyl girl and when we're with her we still play raptor hunt which is like hide and seek with dinosaur noises. Besides, the main character in the story is Princess Natalie and she is one smart dino girl. The saga of how we worked and worked to create and write this story is in the back of the book. It took us 13 years. Young Nick is now grown up and wants to be a band teacher when he gets out of college. Daddy Nick is still writing stories and publishing through halfabook.com.
