The name "Monk" and fame are synonymous, and Pamela Monk most definitely lives up to her name as she continuously "stands out" in all her endeavors. She is a proud mother of four children, Latrisha, LaShante', LaQuionna, and Larry Jr., and grandmother of four grandchildren, Darius, Kayla, Kennedy and Kamyrn. At an early age, she began playing the piano, drawing portraits, sewing and designing clothes, which in turn lead to her illustrious career. Pamela has been a teacher in the New Haven School System since 1977 and for close to 38 years, Pam has brought to the young people of New Haven both in the Public Schools and after-school programs, the magnificent art of performing and modeling. With a Masters Degree (MA) in School Psychology and Counseling, a Bachelor of Science (BS) and 6th Year Degree in Special Education, and Degree in Administration, she has used her experiences and education to develop a positive ministry through her community programs. From education to gospel, she is without limitation. Pamela is hysterical about history. She is the family historian and author of several books about her family's history.
