Holly Duane learned firsthand about poverty growing up in a family that struggled for years to make ends meet. She has done volunteer work among the impoverished in Southern California, served as a social worker with a women's refuge, and ministered as a youth pastor. She now lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with her husband Ewan and stepson Jayzien, working with foster children as a social worker.
