The contents are arranged to accent every day of the calendar year, spanning the biblical era down to our present time. Each page celebrates key moments within the Judeo-Christian tradition, centered around the lives of men and women who, in seeking Heaven's best for themselves, both lived and rendered the words of God for their own generation.

There is also a devotional spirit infused throughout the book. Not only are the "Words for the Soul" intended to encourage the faith of the reader, but at the bottom of each page can be found daily references from the Old and New Testaments, the Psalms and the Proverbs -- strategically arranged so that a student of Scripture might be able to read through the entire Bible in one year.
