The Young Writers of Kansas City is a diverse club led by students at Sumner Academy of Arts and Science. It is a place where they can share openly, receive feedback, and publish their work in the community and beyond. Founded in 2014 by Caroline Meek (senior), it is now led by her and Vice President Selene Gallegos (sophomore). At their weekly meetings, they do writing prompts, brainstorm for their current works in progress, and play imaginary instruments.
