Author Ron Clasky was a multiple award winning editor in Chicago of documentary films, commercials, television shows, training, corporate and experimental films. Clasky won two Editing Emmys for documentaries. Clasky was the editor of a series of documentary films in art produced by Chicago artist/reporter Franklin McMahon. They all aired on WBBM Television, Chicago and nationwide on CBS and PBS. Clasky's films for McMahon included 69CR180, a film report in art of The Chicago Eight Conspiracy Trial of 1969. The Portrait Of An Election series were one-hour films using art and sound to document the national primaries, the Democratic and Republican conventions and the presidential political campaigns. Clasky was the supervising editor of the documentary, The Nobel Prize Awards for 1964, hosted by Alistair Cooke. The film played in prime time on the ABC network. Clasky now lives on Hollywood Beach, Florida. His business is at the Hollywood Beach Resort. Clasky was president of his 400-unit condominium and served on the Board of Directors. He was also on the City of Hollywood's Planning and Zoning Board.
