""An Inquiry Whether a General Practice of Virtue Tends to the Wealth or Poverty, Benefit or Disadvantage of a People"" is a philosophical book written by George Blewitt. The book explores the relationship between virtue and a society's economic prosperity. Blewitt questions whether a society's adherence to virtuous behavior can lead to wealth or poverty. He examines the impact of various virtues, such as industry, frugality, and honesty, on a society's economic well-being. The book also discusses the potential disadvantages of practicing virtue, such as the potential for exploitation by others. Ultimately, Blewitt argues that a general practice of virtue can lead to the benefit of a people. This book is a thought-provoking read for those interested in the intersection of ethics and economics.1725.
