The Heasmans have their roots near Ashdown Forest in the south of England and the Kerrs were from Ulster Province in the north of Ireland. Keith married Marion Katherine Rogers (1898-1992) of Conneaut in 1919 where they had one child, Patricia Ann. Keith and his brother, Darrell Esmond "Red" Heasman (1901-1954), ran Heasman's Grocery in Conneaut.
